Assessment of the judicial reforms and efficiency in court proceedings (2010)

Period of implementation: January – December, 2010

Key objectives

The objective of the project is to strengthen the independency, efficiency and impartiality of the judiciary in the Republic of Macedonia and to contribute to proper implementation of the judicial reforms as defined in the strategic documents of the country for an EU integration.

The envisaged activities: trial monitoring, workshops and publication of an analytical report. The target group is consisted of: Basic Courts, Court of Second Instance, Public’s Prosecution Office, Ministry of Justice, Academy for training judges and prosecutors, Ministry of Interior, Secretariat for EU Integration and the general public.

Project activities

  • Assessment of the situation in the judiciary with a comparative analysis to the one in 2006
  • Increased knowledge of the professional public that will contribute to better and more successful processing of the cases in the judicial institutions
