The USAID project for legal protection of women is implemented by the Association for Emancipation, Solidarity and Equality of Women – ESE, in partnership with Open Gate – La Strada Macedonia and the Coalition “ Sexual and health rights of marginalized communities ”, by using the capacities of Coalition “ All for fair Trials ” for observation of court cases.
The basic aim of the project is providing adequate legal protection for women victims of violence and discrimination, including domestic violence, sexual violence, women trafficking and sex workers.
In the period od 2015 – 2017, the activities in the field of monitoring of court cases are essentially complemented by the beginning of monitoring of criminal and civil proceedings to protect women who are victims of violence, with a special focus on women who are victims of domestic violence, sexual violence, victims of trafficking and women engaged in sex work.
Within this project, there was a job advertisement for professional observers in February 2015.
The newly accepted observers attended a training for questionnaires based on domestic violence on February 11th and 12th.
This project was conducted in Skopje, Bitola, Kocani, Kumanovo, Prilep, Stip, Kavadarci, Ohrid, Strumica and Tetovo.
